The Cookware We Recommend (And Why)

Hi Reader,

As a team of recipe developers and dietitians, there is probably no piece of kitchen equipment we use more than our nonstick pots and pans. We’ve been using and testing Caraway cookware for more than 2 years now and still recommend it!

We originally published our review of Caraway cookware in March 2023, but we wanted to update it now that we’ve had another 15 months of testing our Caraway skillets, Dutch ovens, and saucepans.

Need Some New Pots And Pans?

If you’re in the market for a new nonstick cookware set (or will be soon), there are a few things we love about Caraway.

  • So many built-in smart features … like the little ridge on the handles that indicates the “hot zone” or the fact that the pan handles easily double as spoon rests, or that every lid has a steam escape hole and indicates exactly where condensation will fall back into the pan.
  • They come with magnetic storage racks … you’ll never need to stack your pots and pans in a cupboard again (what a mess!). The free storage racks are so handy for storing this set on its side in either a cupboard, deep drawer, or right on the countertop.
  • Stylish colors for an updated kitchen look … plus we love that the sets come in colors that match Caraway storage containers and bakeware, so you can color-coordinate your whole kitchen.
  • The pans clean so easily … no more soaking and scrubbing for hours! And you can use the provided melamine foam sponge (that you get with any order) once a month to brush off any harder-to-release stains on the bottoms of the pans. Our sets have held up so well over thousands of uses.

Truly Non-Toxic Cookware

How can you get a truly nonstick cookware set that doesn’t contain forever chemicals like PFAS or PTFE (aka Teflon)? Caraway has done it with cookware that’s made from an aluminum core, a mineral-based ceramic nonstick coating, and stainless steel handles. It’s also free of lead, cadmium, and other metals that can build up over time to toxic levels in the body.

Here’s what you get in a full set:

  • 8-inch fry pan
  • 10.5-inch fry pan
  • 3-quart saucepan with lid
  • 1.75-quart saucepan with lid
  • 6.5-quart dutch oven with lid
  • 4.5-quart sauté pan with lid
  • Magnetic storage racks (one of our favorite features)
  • Canvas lid holder
  • Cork trivets

And if you don’t need a full set, you can also purchase individual pieces. Use code DIETITIANS to save 10% on any Caraway.
